Somewhere In The Great
Woods of Howell, 5/19/02

 

The purpose of Jake's Eagle project, was to fell 3 - 30 foot tall cedar trees from deep within the woods, then debark them and prepare them as flag poles for the Historic Societies Old School House Location in Howell, along with walkways and gardens. This was no easy task as no modern day tools were allowed to be used. Only tools relevant to the historical period could be utilized. One such tree is shown in the picture above...
